Timber gives you warmth and character, and unlike most floors it can be sanded back and refinished instead of replaced. A good timber floor will usually outlast a couple of carpets.
Most homes we floor on the Central Coast use engineered timber rather than solid boards. It’s real timber on top with a stable core underneath. That handles our coastal humidity better, and it can go straight over a concrete slab where solid timber can’t.
One thing to know: timber isn’t suited to bathrooms or laundries. If you want the timber look in a wet area, hybrid flooring looks the same and is fully waterproof. Come in to Tuggerah and we’ll show you both side by side.
